Garcia, Free Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

April 20, 2015 QUEENS, N.Y. -- Sophomore Brittany Garcia and junior Tori Free were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll this week after a 4-0 week that included a sweep over local conference rival Seton Hall.

Garcia finished the week batting .600 (9-for-15) with a league-high nine RBI after a double and a pair of home runs for a 1.067 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage. The sophomore outfielder also scored four runs after posting a team-leading 16 total bases.

Free went 3-0 on the week with a pair of complete games and a shutout after posting up a 0.42 ERA with 10 strikeouts in 16.2 innings of work, holding opponents to a .230 batting average while allowing only three walks.
