Hackimer Earns First Team Capital One Academic All-District Accolades

QUEENS, N.Y. - Junior reliever Thomas Hackimer has earned first team Capital One Academic All-District honors, as selected and announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The selection gives St. John's at least one Academic All-District honoree in each of the past 10 seasons.
A physics major with a 3.56 GPA, Hackimer is 2-0 with a 1.63 ERA and a league-leading 10 saves. The righty ranks second in the league with 25 appearances and also ranks tied for eighth among all pitchers with 42 strikeouts in 38.2 innings of work. Hackimer has limited opponents to just a .148 batting average and has combined on three shutouts.
Hackimer ranks tied for second all-time in the program record-books with 86 career-appearances and also ranks third all-time with 23 saves.
As a first team All-District selection, Hackimer will be added to the ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
