Linda Wang Earns BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week

QUEENS, N.Y. -- After winning medalist honors at the fifth annual St. John's Invitational on Tuesday, St. John's women's golfer Linda Wang was named the BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week.
Down two strokes heading into the final round of action, Wang carded a three-over 75 to win her first collegiate tournament. The rookie posted a two-round score of six-over 150 for the team's home event.
Wang's first-place showing helped the Red Storm sweep its home tournament as the squad also took home the St. John's Invitational title by a total of 17 strokes. The win also gave the Johnnies back-to-back championships to cap off the fall.
Wang closes out her first semester in college with a top-six finish or better in all four of the team's fall events, including a pair of fourth place showings.
