Miranda Haraughty Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After giving the St. John's women's soccer team an early lead in its season-finale win over Providence, Miranda Haraughty was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced Monday.
Haraughty, who missed all of non-conference play with an injury, earned her first start of the season last Friday against the Friars. In the 15th minute of the match, the Glens Falls, N.Y., native gathered a cross from Shea Connors and found the back of the net for her first goal of the season, giving the Johnnies a 1-0 advantage.
The Red Storm went on to win the contest, 2-1, clinching a BIG EAST Championship First Round home game at Belson Stadium on Tuesday. The first kick is scheduled for 7 p.m. on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
