Jade Walker Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After leading the St. John's women's basketball team in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots in Sunday's 73-57 win over William & Mary, senior Jade Walker has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced Monday.
The Maplewood, N.J., native scored a game-high 18 points, pulled down seven boards and blocked a game-best four shots as the Red Storm defeated the Tribe at Kaplan Arena in Williamsburg, Va.
For the game, Walker was 7-of-12 from the floor and connected on her lone three-point shot. Additionally, she went 3-for-5 from the free throw line in 27 minutes of action.
During a 20-5 burst to close out the third quarter, Walker scored seven points on 3-of-4 shooting and grabbed a pair of rebounds as the Johnnies pulled away from the Tribe.
Walker and the Red Storm will return to action on Thursday when they host Duquesne in their home opener at 7 p.m. The contest will be streamed live on ESPN3.
