Jade Walker Earns BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Nod

QUEENS, N.Y. - After leading the St. John's women's basketball team to a pair of wins last week, Jade Walker was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced Monday.
In a 2-0 week for the Red Storm, Walker averaged 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. The Maplewood, N.J., shot 37.0 percent from the floor and converted six of her seven attempts from the free throw line.
This is the second time that Walker has been named to the conference's honor roll this season, finding a spot on the ledger after the opening weekend of the 2016-17 campaign.
The senior led the Johnnies in scoring with 13 points on 5-of-14 shooting from the floor against Albany. Walker also had three rebounds, two blocks and a pair of steals in the 54-36 win over the Great Danes.
Walker followed that up with 13 points, six rebounds, two assists and two blocks against Lafayette. Walker hit all three of her free throw attempts as the Johnnies cruised to their second-straight victory.
Walker and the Red Storm return to action on Wednesday, hosting Rutgers at Carnesecca Arena for a 7 p.m. tip-off on ESPN3.
