Grant Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - For the fifth time this season, Danaejah Grant has been selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced this afternoon by the league office.
Grant led the way for the Red Storm this past weekend in a pair of single-digit losses to Marquette and No. 23/21 DePaul. The senior guard from Piscataway, N.J., averaged 21.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
The second-leading scorer in the BIG EAST at 19.1 points per game this season, Grant connected 48.5 percent of her tries from the field, including four of her 10 attempts from beyond the arc.
On Friday against Marquette, Grant sank eight of her 14 tries from the floor, finishing the contest with 19 points, six rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.
Two days later at No. 23/21 DePaul, Grant put forth her best individual performance in three weeks, tallying a team-high 24 points to go along with seven rebounds.
Grant and the Red Storm will return to action on Sunday afternoon, traveling to South Orange, N.J., for a matchup with local rival Seton Hall.
