Dixon Earns Spot On BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After batting .400 (6-for-15) as part of a 3-1-1 week for the Red Storm, Troy Dixon has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Dixon hit safely in 3-of-4 games played and registered two multi-hit performances, while also adding two doubles, five RBI and one run scored. The catcher posted a .533 slugging percentage and added a .474 on-base percentage.
The junior went 0-for-3 with a walk in midweek action against Iona before finishing 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in the series-opener against Southern Illinois. Dixon had a tie-breaking, three-run double in the ninth inning of game two and finished the contest 3-for-4 with two doubles and all four RBI in the 4-1 victory. The catcher went 1-for-5 in the series-finale.
St. John's (6-7-1) returns to action on March 15, hosting Fairfield for a 3 p.m. home-opener at Jack Kaiser Stadium.
