QUEENS, N.Y. -- One day removed from the Yale Invitational, the St. John's men's golf team returns to the greens on Monday as the Red Storm is set to compete in the Rhode Island Invitational at the Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown, R.I.
Once again, freshmen Seung Yub Baek, Michael Conforti and Troy Evans headline the starting lineup for the Johnnies in the two-day tournament. Juniors Kevin King and Guiseppe Truglio join the freshmen, while Matthew Sweeney will be playing as an individual.
St. John's finished eighth at the Yale Invitational on Saturday despite howling 25 mph winds. Yub Baek and Conforti tied for 20th and 27th place, respectively, to lead the group.
Previewing the Field:
The nine-team field includes Bryant, Fordham, Holy Cross, Laval, Saint Joseph's, UMass Lowell, Wagner and host Rhode Island for a total of 58 golfers.
