Inclement Weather Shifts St. John's Opening Weekend Schedule

QUEENS, N.Y. -- Due to inclement weather that forced flight cancellations in New York City, the St. John's softball season opener has been pushed back to Saturday. The Red Storm will now make its debut at the USF-Wilson DeMarini tournament against No. 4/3 Florida on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The Johnnies will then follow up its first game of the 2017 season with a 3 p.m. clash against Delaware later in the same day.
On Sunday, St. John's takes on No. 6/6 Michigan at 9 a.m. before closing out the tournament with an 11:15 a.m. showdown against Illinois State.
The Red Storm are set to play four games as tournament host, No. 25/24 South Florida, was scratched from the schedule.
