Aaliyah Lewis Named to BIG EAST All-Tournament Team

QUEENS, N.Y. - After averaging 18.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals in two games, Aaliyah Lewis was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team, the conference announced after Tuesday night's championship game.
Lewis opened the 2017 BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament with a career-high 27 point showing, lifting St. John's to the conference semifinals for the fourth-straight year and 10th time in program history. The senior from Staten Island, N.Y., hit 11 of her 17 attempts from the floor including two of her three tries from behind the arc.
Lewis also dished out five assists and moved into second place on the St. John's all-time assists list in the process. Lewis, who received her BIG EAST Co-Defensive Player of the Year award prior to the contest, also came away with four steals and four rebounds in the Red Storm win.
In the semifinal against DePaul, Lewis added nine points, three assists, three rebounds and a pair of steals in 37 minutes of action.
