Joe Tartamella Announces Dates for 2017 Summer Camps

QUEENS, N.Y. - Fresh off the Red Storm's 10th-consecutive postseason appearance, Joe Tartamella has announced the dates for his annual summer camps on the Queens campus of St. John's University.
Tartamella will hold two sessions of his annual basketball camp, the first running from July 24 to July 28 and the second ranging from July 31 to Aug. 4. Camp begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.
Open to campers entering grades three through eight, basketball camp attendees will be able to learn the fundamentals of the game, improve on their existing skill sets and, most importantly, have fun.
Tuition for the week is $275 dollars per camper, but discounts are available for groups of five or more, children of alumni and children of university employees. Campers that sign up for both weeks can also save $50 on the total cost of the camps.
All campers will also receive a t-shirt as part of their tuition.
In addition, Tartamella and the St. John's staff will hold its Next Level Elite Camp on June 23 from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. and the St. John's Women's Basketball Team Camp on June 24-25 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Next Level Elite Camp is for girl basketball players entering grades nine through 12 that are serious about playing competitive basketball at the next level. Tuition for the one-day session is $30 and includes a camp t-shirt, as well as an NCAA educational session. The camp will focus on college-level skill development for all positions, competitive game simulations and intense individual instruction.
The St. John's Women's Basketball Team Camp is also geared toward female high school players and offers the ability to learn from Coach Tartamella and his staff while also playing four games in two days. Campers can expect to undergo both individual and team instruction, while also learning college level skill development at both the guard and post positions. Teams must have 10 players and two coaches during sign up. The cost per team is $300 before June 1, but will rise to $350 after that date. Additional players can be added to the roster at the cost of $10 per player.
