Floridians Willa Bay Breunich and Camila Ordonez signed their National Letters of Intent to enroll at St. John’s.
On Tuesday, Head Women's Tennis Coach Lauren Leo announced the signings of Willa Bay Breunich and Camila Ordonez to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period.
"We are excited to welcome Camila and Willa Bay to the St. John's family. They are extremely talented players who will add depth to the Red Storm lineup. Our coaching staff looks forward for the opportunity to work with these players - continuing to develop their games and reach their goals,"added Leo.
Willa Bay Breunich, a five-star recruit from Port St. Lucie, Fla., is currently the 64th ranked junior tennis player nationally, according to the Tennis Recruiting Network. On top of being the 64th ranked player nationally, Breunich is ranked 15th in the Southeast region and is the 9th best junior player in the state of Florida.
Four-star recruit, Camila Ordonez will also join Lauren Leo's squad next September. The Aventura, Fla., native is a product of Extreme Tennis Academy, located in North Miami Beach, Fla. and chose St. John's over schools such as: UConn, Denver, UC Irvine, Southern California and San Diego State. Nationally, Ordonez ranks as the 94th best junior player in the Class of 2019. Just like Breunich, Ordonez also ranks well in her state and region, currently holding the 14th spot in the Florida junior rankings and is 26th in the Southeast region.
