St. John’s and IMG Learfield add Kevin Waters to Sports Properties Staff

Waters joins the Red Storm from Fordham University
QUEENS, N.Y. (Jan. 20, 2020) – The St. John's Athletics Department and IMG Learfield has announced the hiring of Kevin Waters to General Manager of St. John's Sports Properties on Monday.
Waters comes to the Red Storm from Fordham University where he served as the general manager for Fordham Sports Proprieties since 2018. He built and developed partnerships with TD Bank, New York Presbyterian, UnitedHealthcare, Under Armour and Coca-Cola. Waters increased revenues by 71 percent. As a result, Waters and his staff were awarded Property of the Year at the 2019 Learfield Sales Conference.
The Trinity College product holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and educational studies. After his four years at the Trinity, Waters left Hartford for Queens to serve as a corporate sales assistant/intern for the New York Mets from 2003-06.
Following a three-year tenure with the Mets, Waters moved on to Zenith Media Services as an assistant sports negotiator before heading to Uniondale to work with the New York Islanders in 2007. His primary responsibility with the Islanders was corporate sponsorships. While with the Islanders, Waters generated over $500,000 in revenue from 2007-09.
Waters left Uniondale and transferred to Bethpage in 2009 where he served as an area manager in partnerships as well as a manager in public affairs at Cablevision. He spent the better part of six years with the Tri-State area's leading cable provider before heading to Taubman Company in 2015 and Fordham in 2017.
