St. John’s Men’s Golf Releases 2020 Spring Schedule

The Red Storm will kick off the spring slate at the Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate
St. John's men's golf head coach Mal Galletta announced the 2020 spring schedule on Friday, which features seven events highlighted by the BIG EAST Championship on May 1-3 at Callawassie Island Golf Club in Okatie, S.C.
The Johnnies will begin their spring slate in the Sunshine State at the Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate from March 2-3. The two-day 54-hole event will take place at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club. This will mark the Red Storm's second time competing in the tournament and the first time since the 2017-18 season.
The Johnnies will continue play in Florida March 9-10, as the team travels to Daytona for the Lonnie Barton Invitational at the LPGA International Golf Course. This will mark the Red Storm's first time competing in the tournament.
The St. John's men's golf program will have nearly a month off from competition until the tournaments heat up over the month of April. The stretch of events will start with a trip to Malvern, Pa., from April 6-7, as the Johnnies compete in the Wildcat Spring Invitational, hosted by BIG EAST foe Villanova at White Manor Country Club.
Next, the Johnnies will gear up for the UConn Intercollegiate on April 9-11 at Ellington Ridge Country Club. Two days later, the Red Storm will travel to Rhode Island for the Rhode Island Invitational April 13-14 at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown.
The Johnnies will wrap up regular season play at the Yale Spring Intercollegiate on April 18. The 36-hole tournament will take place at The Course at Yale in New Haven, Conn.
