Men's Golf Continues Spring Slate with Lonnie Barton Invitational

The St. John's men's golf team continues its 2020 spring slate at the Lonnie Barton Invitational on Monday. The two-day 54-hole event will take place at the LPGA International, in Daytona Beach, Fla.

After leading the way for the Johnnies at the Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate, sophomore Jack Simon will enter the tournament as the Red Storm's number one golfer. Freshman Alex Kyriacou and sophomore Tyler Gerbavsits are slotted in the second and third positions, while freshman Ryan Rittberger and sophomore Joseph Busiello will round out the five-man lineup for the Red Storm.

Freshman Gage Wolfle and senior Gerald Mackedon will be playing as individuals.

The 14-team field includes Bryant, St. Francis Brooklyn, Hartford, Mount Saint Mary's, Fairfield, Farleigh Dickinson, Iona, Wagner, North Carolina A&T, Robert Morris, St. John's, St. Francis (Pa.), St. Francis (N.Y.) and Sacred Heart.

The teams are set for an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start on the par-72, 7,088-yard course.

Results will be posted to RedStormSports.com at the conclusion of each day.
