Women's Golf Readies for Quinnipiac Classic

The Johnnies will tee off at 9 a.m. on Monday
The St. John's women's golf team continues its fall slate in Wallingford, Conn., on Monday for the Quinnipiac Classic.
The two-day 54-hole event will be played at The Farms Country Club, with the first two rounds on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Shotgun starts are scheduled for 9 a.m. on day one and 8:30 a.m. on day two at the par-72 6,110-yard course.
The Johnnies will participate in the Quinnipiac Classic for the first time since the 2016-17 campaign. That season, behind a stellar individual effort from former St. John's standout Kristy Beckwith, the Johnnies claimed the team title at the event.
Senior Jessie Kweon enters this week's tournament as the team's number one golfer, while sophomore Angelica Kusnowo and junior Laia Barro are slotted in the second and third positions. Junior Cloe Clocchiatti and graduate student Andrea Sanchez will round out the lineup for St. John's.
Redshirt freshman Amy Kim will be competing as an individual.
The 11-team field will include host school Quinnipiac, along with St. John's, Siena, Sacred Heart, Lehigh, Monmouth, Fairfield, LIU, Hofstra, Merrimack and Holy Cross.
Live scoring will be available via Golfstat and results will be posted to RedStormSports.com at the conclusion of each day.
