Rayven Peeples Out Indefinitely

Senior forward is out indefinitely with knee injury
St. John's head women's basketball coach Joe Tartamella announced on Wednesday that senior forward Rayven Peeples will be out indefinitely due to a knee injury.
Peeples earned starts in the first two games of the season for St. John's. In the team's home opener against FDU on Nov. 10, the Detroit Mich., native led the way for the Johnnies, pouring in a career-high 24 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor. Peeples also pulled down a game-high seven rebounds.
In the Red Storm's most recent contest at Stony Brook, Peeples grabbed a team-high 11 boards to go along with a trio of steals in 30 minutes of action.
In her debut season for the Red Storm last year, Peeples led the Johnnies in field goal percentage, converting at a 61.7 percent clip from the floor. Peeples also averaged 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game for the Johnnies.
The Red Storm returns to action this evening, as the squad takes on Temple at 7 p.m. inside Pearson-McGonigle Hall.
