Angelica Kusnowo Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week

The freshman golfer has posted a pair of top-two finishes this season
After helping the St. John's women's golf team to its third-straight team title on Tuesday, freshman Angelica Kusnowo was named the BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week, it was announced on Thursday afternoon by the conference office.

The Chino, Hills, Calif., native has finished inside the top-five in all three events for the Red Storm this season, turning in a pair of second-place performances in the Johnnies' last two outings.

Most recently, Kusnowo carded a three-round score of one-under 215 (73-73-69), to finish two strokes back of first place at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate. Over the final 18 holes, Kusnowo drained five birdies to sign off on a season-low 69 (-3).

Kusnowo is boasting a 73.80 stroke average over three events this season to sit second among female golfers in the BIG EAST.

Kusnowo and the Johnnies return to action on April 3 for a Tri Match with Rutgers and Seton Hall.
