Angelica Kusnowo Earns Spot on the All-BIG EAST Team

Kusnowo honored by the conference after recording four top-10 finishes
Following an impressive rookie season, freshman Angelica Kusnowo earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST Team, the league announced on Thursday.
"I am so happy for Angie," said head coach Ambry Bishop-Santillo. "She had a great season as a freshman and really worked hard all semester to deserve this honor. I am looking forward to the years ahead and continuing to see her successes on and off the golf course."
Kusnowo finished inside the top-10 in four of the Red Storm's five events this spring, boasting a 75.82 stroke average, to rank fourth overall in the conference. The Chino Hills, Calif., native helped St. John's to a league-most three team titles.
Kusnowo produced her best effort of the year in the final round of the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, shooting a season-low 69. She was one of just three league golfers to shoot a 69 or better over the 2021 spring slate. With that performance, Kusnowo was named BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week.
Kusnowo capped off a strong 2021 season at the BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship where she carded a three-round 234 (+18) to finish inside the top-20.
