Drake went for 30 points in the 67-47 win over Manhattan on Sunday
NEW YORK – Following a 30-point performance on Sunday, Unique Drake was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday.
Overall, Drake averaged 20.5 points and shot 57.1 percent from 3-point range during a 1-1 week for the Red Storm.
On Sunday, Drake became just the 11th player in St. John's history to score 30 points in a single-game and made a career-high 11 field goals in a 67-47 win over Manhattan at Carnesecca Arena. It marked the second-time early in the 2023-24 campaign that she has set a new career-high in points after dropping 27 in the opener.
The redshirt senior tied the school record for most 3-pointers in a single-game draining seven against the Jaspers. Drake become the third player joining Kim MacMillan and Qadashah Hoppie as the only St. John's players to ever reach that mark from beyond-the-arc.
The reigning BIG EAST Sixth-Woman of the Year was a true catalyst offensively outscoring the opponent in opening quarter and finishing with a career-high 11 made field goals.
In Thursday's loss to Penn State, Drake scored in double-figures as she has every contest this season. The guard finished with 11 points.
The Columbia, S.C. sits fourth on the national leaderboard averaging 4.0 3-pointers per contest. She currently ranks 11th in NCAA Division I with 16 made triples on the year, nearly half of her career-best total from last year, 38.
This marks the second-straight week Drake has received recognition for the conference. She currently ranks second in the league in scoring logging 23.0 points per contest.
The Red Storm will venture to San Juan, P.R., for three games against VCU, UCF and Jackson State at the Discover Puerto Rico Classic beginning on Thanksgiving Day.
