Women’s Golf Signs Lily Huynh

The Chatsworth, Calif., native signed her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday
QUEENS, N.Y.– The St. John's women's golf team announced the signing of highly decorated high school recruit Lily Huynh, who signed her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
"We are so excited to have Lily [Hyunh] join the St. John's women's golf family," Head Coach Ambry Bishop said. "She has a many successes on and off the golf course and I look for her to have an immediate impact next year."
Hyunh will come to Queens from the opposite coast after an impressive high school and amateur career in California.
The Chatsworth, Calif., native competed amongst the premier golfers in Southern California in the PGA Junior Toyota Cup Series over the last two seasons. Huynh tallied three top-10 finishes. In August at Twin Oaks, she tallied a 72.0 stroke average and a seventh-place finish.
"Her strong play this fall while wrapping up her high school career has proven her strong talents on the golf course," Bishop said.
Hyunh has been dominant in high school competition at Oak Park boasting an undefeated 48-0 record in dual-match play over four years. During her career, the golfer logged a 74.4 per 18-hole stroke average and twice qualified as an individual for the California State Qualifier Tournament.
A four-time all-league first team selection and three-time All-Ventura Country honoree, Hyunh guided the Eagles to a Division 3 California Interscholastic Federation Championship.
Off the course, Huynh is the Editor-in-Chief of her school newspaper, The Talon and has taken American Sign Language for four years is a member of the ASL Honor Society.
