Jillian Archer Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll After Big Performance at MSG

The forward tallied 15 points and 14 boards in the 51-46 win over Villanova
NEW YORK– St. John's women's basketball forward Jillian Archer was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Archer had a monster game in the BIG EAST opener at Madison Square Garden on Saturday. The graduate student record season-high's with 15 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks.
The veteran played a huge role in a crucial 51-46 victory at "The World's Most Famous Arena" over Villanova. The win snapped a nine-game losing streak against the Wildcats.
The Santa Monica, Calif., native was efficient on the offensive end shooting 7-for-8 from the field en route to matching her highest point total of the 2023-24 campaign.
Archer had the highest rebounding total of any Red Storm player this season pulling down 14 boards. Her rebound total was the second highest over her St. John's career. She currently ranks sixth in the BIG EAST in rebounding averaging 7.8 per game.
The double-double marked the fourth of the year for the post player, which ranks second in the conference. Last season, Archer led the Johnnies with five double-doubles.
The BIG EAST Weekly Honor roll nod marks the first of the season for Archer and the third of her St. John's career. Teammate Unique Drake has earned the nod three times this season.
Archer and the Red Storm will close out non-conference play on Thursday when it takes on Yale in New Haven, Conn., at noon.
