Unique Drake Tabbed to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The guard averaged 21.5 points in a 2-0 week for the Red Storm
NEW YORK – For the third time this season, St. John's women's basketball standout Unique Drake has been tabbed to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Drake averaged 21.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 51.5 percent (17-33) from the floor and 50 percent (6-10) from 3-point range during a pair of wins over Loyola Maryland and Marist this past week.
After returning from Puerto Rico, Drake put up another impressive scoring performance in a decisive win over Loyola Maryland on Nov. 29. The redshirt senior went for 24 points, matching or exceeding her previous career heading into this season for the fourth time during the 2023-24 campaign. The guard went 10-for-16 from the field and 4-of-5 from deep at Carnesecca Arena, marking the third game this season she has made double-digit field goals.
In Saturday's road contest at Marist, Drake led all scorers for the seventh time this season finishing with 19 points in a 50-40 victory in Poughkeepsie. The guard also tallied a season-high six boards at McCann Arena.
With a mid-range jumper during the second quarter, Drake became the 29th player in program history to ever reach the 1,000 career point mark.
The reigning BIG EAST Sixth-Woman of the Year has gotten off to a stellar start over the first nine games of the season. Drake is averaging a team-high 19.7 points per game, which ranks third in the BIG EAST. The guard has draining shots from long-range with 28 triples made on the year.
Drake and the Johnnies will be back in action on Thursday night when they travel to Fairfield for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
