St. John’s to Welcome BIG EAST Foe DePaul on Saturday

The Red Storm is unbeaten (3-0-2) in last five matches against Blue Demons
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's men's soccer team will look to build on its two-game conference winning streak when Butler comes to Queens on Saturday.
Kick-off from Belson Stadium is slated for 7 p.m. Saturday's match will be streamed on BIG EAST Digital Network, powered by FloFC, and live stats will be available on RedStormSports.com.
Students who attend both the women's volleyball match at 5 p.m., inside Carnesecca Arena, followed by the men's soccer game, will be entered into a raffle for a $100 Uber Eats gift card through the Red Storm Rewards app.
The Johnnies produced a 22-shot onslaught in its 1-0 setback to Loyola (Md.) on Tuesday evening. Of the team's 22 shot attempts, senior Nigel Griffith unleashed eight of the team's chances while producing four on target in 64 minutes off the bench. Over the last two games, the Stroudsburg, Pa., native has been at the forefront of the Red Storm's offense, scoring a goal and recording six of his 10 shot attempts on frame.

Through three league games, the Red Storm is second in BIG EAST play with 21 corner kicks, averaging seven per contest. The Johnnies also pace the conference with 53 shot attempts, good for 17.7 chances per game.
