QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's volleyball team will play host to Villanova for a midweek match on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. inside Carnesecca Arena. The contest will be streamed on ESPN+ and live stats will be available on RedStormSports.com.
The Red Storm split its pair of road matches against Providence and UConn last weekend, taking down the Friars in straight sets, 3-0, before falling to the Huskies in a five-set heartbreaker, 3-2.
The Johnnies return home with a 13-8 overall record and a 3-5 mark in the BIG EAST. Additionally, St. John's has been stellar in Queens this season, boasting a 9-2 record in matches at Carnesecca Arena.
Erin Jones earned her fifth BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll nod of the season on Monday, after racking up 28 kills, 28 assists, 24 digs, eight aces and five blocks against Providence and UConn last weekend. The junior also tallied a pair of triple-doubles.
The Albuquerque, N.M., native registered 14 assists, 11 digs, 10 kills and three aces against Providence last Friday. One day later, she went on to record 18 kills, 14 assists, 13 digs, five service aces and five blocks against UConn.
The right-side hitter has notched four triple-doubles throughout the 2024 campaign, which is the most by a BIG EAST player since Marquette's Taylor Wolf had four in 2021. Additionally, Jones is one of eight players in NCAA Division I to log four or more triple-doubles this season.
The standout currently leads the Red Storm and ranks 12th in points (375.5), 13th in aces (40) and 23rd in kills (312), nationally, as of Oct. 22.
