QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's dance team is slated to perform at the 98th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday morning. The Red Storm dance team is scheduled to perform at approximately 10:30 a.m. at Macy's Herald Square, located on 34th Street and 7th Avenue.
"We're really excited to be a part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for the fourth straight year," Head Coach Christine McCarton said. "We're extremely grateful to be given this opportunity once again and we are looking forward to this incredible experience on Thursday."
The annual celebration is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m., as the parade will march down from the Upper West Side at West 77th Street through the heart of Manhattan to Macy's Herald Square. St. John's fans can watch the 98th installment of the parade nationally on NBC and CBS, and can stream the entire parade on Peacock from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday.
For nearly a century, the New York City extravaganza has been a staple during Thanksgiving Day festivities. The annual tradition will feature 22 novelty balloons, 34 floats and 28 star-studded performers. Santa Claus will wrap up the parade with his arrival at Macy's Herald Square to ring in the holiday season.
