Red Storm reveals season-long promotion schedule for 50th anniversary season
QUEENS, N.Y.– The St. John's Athletic Department has announced its women's basketball promotional schedule, which features giveaways, theme nights and a celebration of the program's first-ever team as it celebrates its 50th season.
The Red Storm will host 14 contests on-campus at Carnesecca Arena and one at Madison Square Garden and to purchase tickets click here. For more information on all promotions for the 2024-25 season visit here.
In celebration of the season opener on Nov. 4, 200 Chick-Fil-A sandwiches will be given out to students courtesy of St. John's University Student Affairs.
On Dec. 28, St. John's will host Creighton for a 2 p.m. at Carnesecca Arena for "4K Day" as it aims to reach the 4,000 attendance mark. Additional giveaways and special edition prizes will be announced a later date.
The Red Storm will welcome Xavier on Feb. 2 for National Girls and Women in Sports Day for a 2 p.m. battle in Queens. The Athletic Department will host a clinic in Taffner Field House pregame and Steve Max, the Master of Simon Sez will perform at halftime.
On Feb. 16, the women's basketball program will return to Madison Square Garden on Feb. 16 for the third annual Johnnies Day. The squad will face Butler at 5:30 p.m. in a latter half of a doubleheader as the St. John's Men's Basketball team meets Creighton at 3 p.m.
Additional promotions include Youth Day (Dec. 8), Small Business Appreciation Night (Jan. 7), Taylor Swift Night (Jan. 29) and the Play4Kay Pink Game (Feb. 23).
