Unique Drake Named Women’s College Senior All-Star Game MVP

Drake captured Team Shootout Championship in Phoenix and scored 27 points in All-Star Game
CLEVELAND – On the national stage, Unique Drake shined at the Senior All-Star Game and State Farm College 3-Point Championship this week.
Drake was named the MVP of the Senior All-Star Game after pouring in 27 points and leading her team to a 20-point comeback on Saturday.
In Phoenix on Thursday, the site of the men's NCAA Tournament Final Four Drake participated in the Team Shootout competition. The teams consted of three players and had to make shots from eught different spots concluding with a half-court shot. Paired on a team with March Madness phenomenon Jack Gohlke of Oakland and Francis Marion's Marlow Gilmore. The trio made all seven shots without a single miss in just 0:23 to claim the event championship.
In the 3-point competition at Grand Canyon, Drake scored 16 in the opening round to advance into the semifinal round in a field with the best 3-point shooters in the country on ESPN.
After travelling from Phoenix to Cleveland, Drake readied for the Senior All-Star Game and went through a practice on Friday ran by Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman, who served as the head coach for the event.
On Saturday, the Columbia, S.C., native showed out at the Wolstein Center on the campus of Cleveland State. In a game that featured five All-Americans, Drake led all scorers exploding for 27 points, She went 12-for-21 from the field and recorded three steals.
Drake played an integral role on rallying from 20 points down leading a furious second half comeback. She added 15 points in the latter half as Team Lieberman downed Team Miller, 95-88.
Drake increased her scoring average by 9.8 points this season after garnering BIG EAST Sixth-Woman of the Year honors in 2022-23. The redshirt senior was a unanimous First Team All-BIG EAST selection after averaging 18.4 points per game, the highest by a Red Storm player since 2015-16.
Drake along with teammate Jillian Archer entered her name in upcoming WNBA Draft, which will take place on April 15.
