Marks the fourth time the senior is honored by league for weekly efforts
NEW YORK - St. John's volleyball standout Erin Jones was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the fourth time in the 2025 campaign following an impressive weekend, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Jones has paced the BIG EAST in triple-doubles for the entire 2025 season with seven total and three in league play. In a pair of road matches over the weekend, the senior setter/opposite hitter collected back-to-back triple-doubles.
The Albuquerque, N.M., native notched her first triple-double of the weekend at Xavier on Friday evening, collecting a stat line of 10 kills, a team-high 21 assists and 10 digs, to go along with two service aces.
The following day, Jones led the Johnnies with 18 kills on a .371 attacking percentage against Butler at Hinkle Fieldhouse. She dished out 19 assists and dug up 13 balls to collect her league-leading seventh triple-double and second in as many days.
On the season, Jones currently ranks eighth in the BIG EAST in total kills with 268. With six regular season conference matches remaining, she is less than 50 digs away from 1,000 during her time as a Johnnie. Jones would be the first player in program history to record 1,000 kills, assists and digs.
The Red Storm are back in action this weekend for a pair of matches. On Friday, Oct. 31, UConn makes its way to Carnesecca Arena for a 7 p.m. match. Guests in attendance are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes for a chance to win candy prizes.
The next day, the St. John's volleyball program will welcome back past players for Alumni Day. A pre-match reception is set to take place in the Hall of Fame Room at 1 p.m., with a 3 p.m. first serve against Providence. Any alumni that are interested in participating can register here.Â
