BUFFALO, N.Y. — The St. John's women's tennis team capped its fall 2025 campaign with a strong showing at the Buffalo Indoor Invitational over the weekend.
The Johnnies won a total of 12 matches over two days of competition in Buffalo, N.Y. against student-athletes from host University of Buffalo, Syracuse and Niagara.
Sophomore Giulia Bizzari led the way for the Red Storm, winning all four of her matches at the Buffalo Indoor Invitational. Teaming up with senior captain Charlotta Buss, Bizzari secured two doubles victories before carrying that momentum into singles play. She posted a convincing 6-4, 6-2 win over Syracuse's Haram Kim and battled to a hard-fought 7-5, 6-4 triumph against Buffalo's Julia Laspro to close out an impressive weekend.
Nao Kojima and Nicoline Sartz-Lunde paired up to capture wins in both of their doubles matches over the weekend. On Friday, the duo battled to a tight 7-6 victory over Buffalo's Liv Roestel and Sofia Zagumennova, before carrying that momentum into Saturday with a commanding 6-2 win against Niagara's Saloni Tamang and Isabel Garcia.
Noemi Babikova and Charlotta Buss each added dominant singles victories for the Red Storm, as Babikova defeated Buffalo's Esmee Andresen and Buss cruised past Niagara's Isabel Garcia.
