Brooke Moore Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Junior guard put up 23 points in 1-0 week for the Red Storm

QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's women's basketball guard Brooke Moore earned her way onto the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced by the league office on Monday.

This is the third time the junior has been recognized by the league this season. She was named BIG EAST Player of the Week on Dec. 1 and made the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Dec. 8.

In Wednesday's non-conference finale at New Haven, the Kennesaw, Ga., native finished just shy of a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds while shooting 71.4% (10-14) from the floor and 66.7% (2-3) from 3-point land.

Moore has emerged as a leader on the court for the Johnnies and has tallied double figure scoring efforts in four of her last five games. The six-foot guard is currently shooting 60.2% from the field, leading the BIG EAST and ranked 18th in Division I.

Moore and the Red Storm will return to action on Monday night at Marquette. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
