NEW YORK – St. John's lacrosse netminder Patrick Scarborough and attackman Brian Kelly were tabbed to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday.
This is the first conference weekly honor for Scarborough, while Kelly collects honor roll accolades for the second time in 2025 to go along with a pair of Player of the Week honors.
The graduate goalkeeper matched his career-best with 18 saves in the Red Storm's 10-7 loss against Villanova on Saturday, while Kelly tallied six points on five goals and a helper.
Scarbrough's 18 stops are his most in a St. John's uniform and marked the ninth consecutive game he recorded double-digit saves. His 64.2 save percentage was his season-high and marked the seventh time in 2025 that he stopped over 50 percent of shots faced.
In 11 games this season, the Owings Mills, Md., native is stopping 51.2 percent of shots faced, and his 13.5 saves per game is seventh in the nation and leads the BIG EAST.
Kelly's six points marked the third five-goal game of his career and was the sixth time this season he eclipsed the six-point mark. The Red Hook, N.Y., native, currently on a team-best 16-game point streak, leads the BIG EAST with 4.2 points per game and is second in the conference with 2.5 goals each contest.
With the five goals against the Wildcats, Kelly has 114 for his career, moving him into third place on the program's all-time goals list. The senior captain has set career bests this season with 55 points, 33 goals and 22 assists and is third on the program's all-time scoring list with 191 points.
The preseason All-BIG EAST selection became the first St. John's player since Kieran McCardle to be selected to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
The Johnnies will return to action on Saturday when they host No. 17/17 Georgetown on Saturday at Cox Family Field at Belson Stadium. 18 graduating seniors will be honored pregame at a ceremony scheduled to begin at 10:50 a.m., while faceoff between the Red Storm and Hoyas is slated for noon.
