Cathilyn Lee leads team with top-25 finish in New Jersey
PISCATWAY, N.J. – The St. John's women's golf team wrapped up the Rutgers Invitational tying for a 10th place after three rounds in New Jersey over the weekend.
The Red Storm shot its team-low score of 23-over, 307, during Sunday's final round to move up three spots into 10th in the standings. Overall, the Johnnies carded a 102-over, 954, battling through rainy conditions at Rutgers University Golf Course in Piscataway, N.J.
Rutgers took home the team championship with four Scarlet Knights golfers rounding out the top-four individual finishers.
Cathilyn Lee paced the Red Storm logging a team-best top-25 finish in the 92-golfer field. The Houston native recorded her best round on Sunday shooting 4-over, 75. The junior closed the event with an 18-over, 231.
Kelly Wu checked in next for St. John's recording a 38th place finish and shot a 22-over, 235, over the weekend. The junior registered a final round score of 6-over, 77.
St. John's will close out its regular season competition with a dual match against Seton Hall on Saturday, April 12. The match will be held at Saint Andrew's Golf Club in Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.
