QUEENS, N.Y.– After winning the BIG EAST Regular Season and Tournament Championships, the St. John's men's basketball team will be honored at Wednesday's New York Mets Game at Citi Field following its memorable 2024-25 season.
St. John's star forward and BIG EAST Most Improved Player Zuby Ejiofor will throw the ceremonial first pitch in Queens as the Mets take on the Miami Marlins at 1:10 p.m. Ejiofor will fire the opening pitch to St. John's and New York Mets Hall of Famer John Franco, who played 14 seasons with the Mets from 1990-2001 and 2003-04.
Ejiofor was an All-BIG EAST First Team selection and averaged 14.7 points and 8.1 rebounds for the Johnnies during the historic 2024-25 campaign. The junior led the nation in offensive rebounds per game and will return to St. John's for his senior season.

Players and coaches from the 2024-25 Red Storm team will be in attendance and will be celebrated for their BIG EAST titles during Wednesday's ballgame.
