St. John’s Student-Athletes Record One of Best Academic Performances in Program History During 2024-25 School Year

Red Storm student-athletes logged a cumulative 3.58 grade point average
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's Athletic Department registered one of its best academic performances for an academic year in 2024-25.
Red Storm student-athletes across all 17 varsity programs and spirit teams logged a 3.58 cumulative grade point average for the academic year while 90 percent reached a 3.0 GPA or higher. In total, 113 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA across the fall or spring semesters.
All 17 St. John's teams registered a 3.0 GPA or higher while 12 programs tallied a mark of 3.5 or higher. The women's tennis program held the department's best performance with an impressive 3.91 cumulative GPA over the course of the 2024-25 school year.
Brianna Costello (dance) and Harry Noel (lacrosse), Ludovica Zola (volleyball), Leilani Robinson and Ezgi Yasar (track & field) were among those who were inducted into the President's Society, the University's highest honor society.
The athletic department has two outgoing members of the President's Society in Giorgia Walther (Volleyball) and Malia Jones (Track & Field).
