St. John’s to Face FDU on Thursday Night

Red Storm continue five-match homestand at 7 p.m.
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's men's soccer team (2-2-2, 0-0-0 BIG EAST) play the middle game of its five game homestand on Thursday evening when it hosts FDU (3-0-2, 0-0-0 NEC) for a 7 p.m. kick-off at Cox Family Field at Belson Stadium.
Thursday's match will be broadcasted on ESPN+ with Kevin Connelly and Ralph Bednarczyk on the call from Queens. Live stats will be available on RedStormSports.com and to purchase tickets, click here.
Prior to the game, St. John's University will recognize all of those lost in the tragedies of Sept. 11, 2001 with a moment of silence

The Red Storm enter the match following a 2-1 setback on Monday night against Rhode Island in Queens. URI jumped out to the early lead before Andrew Porucznik netted the equalizer for the Johnnies, coming off Luca Fargnoli and Jeremy Sharp assists. However, a Ram penalty kick proved to be the difference in the 41st minute.
Sharp was recently tabbed to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll for his goal against then No. 2 Marshall, providing the equalizer in Friday night's 1-1 draw. Over the last two matches, the Michigan State transfer has notched one goal and an assist (3 points). Additionally, the senior defender leads the Red Storm
The unbeaten Knights come to Queens following a 1-1 draw with Sacred Heart last Saturday afternoon and hold a 3-0-2 mark five games into the 2025 campaign. Senior midfielder Takuto Nishide was responsible for the lone FDU goal. Arnau Rabassa Guillamon leads the team with two goals through their first five matches. After starting the year with a draw, FDU won three consecutive contests before Saturday's tie with the Pioneers.
St. John's and FDU will meet for the 10th time in the history of the two programs and first in 12 years. The Knights lead the all-time series while St. John's has taken three of the six contests played in Queens.
Following Thursday's match, the Red Storm will continue their homestand on Sunday night. St. John's squares off against Sacred Heart at 7 p.m. battle at Cox Family Field at Belson Stadium.
