St. John’s Dance Secures Two Medals at UDA Nationals

The Red Storm collected a silver and bronze medals at the 2026 National Championship
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's dance team, presented by NOBULL, completed a full slate of competition at the 2026 UDA National Championships at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., resulting in two podium finishes on Sunday night.
The Red Storm placed second in the Hip-Hop Finals, finishing behind national champion Weber State and edging out Utah Valley. The Johnnies produced a score of 92.53 points and received no deductions. St. John's is no stranger to success in the event, having won the title in 2016 and 2020.
St. John's captured its second medal of the competition in the Game Day Dance Finals. The team scored a total of 90.7 points, falling only to national champion Southeastern Louisiana and local rival Hofstra.
The Red Storm rounded out its national's trip with an 11th-place showing in the jazz semifinals in a competitive field. Producing a score of 85.61 points, the squad received no point deductions.

The dance team is back in action tomorrow when the St. John's men's basketball team takes on Seton Hall at Madison Square Garden, with tipoff set for 7 p.m.
