Brooke Moore Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Junior guard averaged 18.0 points in a 1-1 week for the Red Storm
NEW YORK – St. John's women's basketball guard Brooke Moore earned her fourth BIG EAST weekly accolade this season landing on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced on Monday.
Moore was named BIG EAST Player of the Week on Dec. 1 and made the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Dec. 8 and Dec. 22.
The junior led St. John's in scoring in both contests this week logging 18.0 points per game on 68.4% (13-19) shooting from the field. The Kennesaw Ga., native went a perfect 8-for-8 in home contests against Marquette and Villanova.
In a narrow setback against Marquette on Jan. 21, Moore posted a well-rounded performance with 16 points, four rebounds, one assist, three steals, and two blocks.
The Kennesaw, Ga., native followed up with a standout showing in the 13-point victory over Villanova, 71-58, leading the team with 20 points. She also contributed eight rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal, guiding St. John's to a decisive win at Carnesecca Arena.
On the season, Moore is averaging a team-high 13.3 points per game on 55.5% shooting from the field, 75.2% from the line, 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. The team's leading scorer has delivered 15 double-digit scoring outings and five 20-plus point performances.
Moore and the Red Storm will return to action on Wednesday night at Creighton. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+ from Omaha.
