NEW YORK – St. John's women's soccer goalkeeper Kayla Bower and defender Julianna Bivona were tabbed to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
The duo helped anchor a strong defensive week for the Red Storm, which played to consecutive scoreless draws against UConn on Wednesday and Creighton on Saturday at Belson Stadium.
Bivona continued to serve as a mainstay on the St. John's back line, playing all 180 minutes as the Johnnies held both conference opponents off the scoresheet. The junior helped the Red Storm withstand 31 combined shots while limiting the Huskies and Bluejays to just eight attempts on target across the two matches.
The Rockville Centre, N.Y., native also contributed offensively against Creighton, putting an attempt on frame in the 68th minute. Bivona remains the only Johnnie to play every minute this season, logging 990 minutes across 11 starts.
Bower was perfect in goal across the two-match week, stopping all eight shots on target to record consecutive clean sheets. The graduate student made five saves against UConn before adding three stops against Creighton, finishing the week with a 1.000 save percentage and a 0.00 goals-against average.
The Lincoln Park, N.J., native has recorded five shutouts of the season, to rank second in the league and 35th in the nation, surpassing her previous single-season career high of four set in 2025. Bower also ranks second in the BIG EAST with 3.60 saves per game while posting a 0.83 goals-against average and an .812 save percentage this season.
Monday's recognition marks Bivona's first BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll selection of the season, while Bower earns a spot on the league's weekly honor roll for the second time in 2026.
Bower, Bivona and the Red Storm will begin a two-game road swing on Wednesday at Butler with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
