Sa’Mya Wyatt Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Sophomore forward averaged 14.0 points in 1-1 week for the Red Storm
NEW YORK – For the second straight week, St. John's women's basketball forward Sa'Mya Wyatt earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, marking her third selection of the season, the conference office announced Monday.
Wyatt averaged 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists on 80% (8-10) shooting from the line during a 1-1 week for the Red Storm
The Powder Springs, Ga. recorded 16 points, the second most on the team, six rebounds, three assists, a block, a steal and shot 7-for-13 (53.8%) from the field at DePaul.
The forward paced the Johnnies with 12 points while tallying five rebounds, two assists and going 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the 58-47 win over Butler.
Wyatt, the 2024-25 ASUN Freshman of the Year at Austin Peay, captured her third weekly honor in the BIG EAST. The sophomore is one of three players to be recognized by the league this season, joining Brooke Moore and Daniela Abies.
Wyatt and the Red Storm return to action to host Georgetown on Wednesday for Senior Night. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
