St. John’s Softball Reveals 2026 Promotional Schedule

The Johnnies will host 15 promotional games at Red Storm Field
QUEENS, N.Y. — The St. John's softball team has unveiled its promotional calendar for the 2026 campaign, featuring giveaways, theme days and special fan experiences across its full 15-game home slate at Red Storm Field. On March 12, the Johnnies welcome Iona for the 2026 opener at Red Storm Field, where St. John's students will have an opportunity to win two tickets to the Men's Basketball BIG EAST Tournament semifinal on March 13. The game will also feature a Fan of the Game selection.
On March 27, St. John's opens a three-game BIG EAST series, the first of the 2026 season at Red Storm Field, against Butler with St. John's Army ROTC Appreciation Day. The St. John's Campus Army ROTC program is invited to attend, with members presenting the nation's colors prior to first pitch. Free camo beanies will be distributed to fans.
The following day marks the Bark at the Park, as fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to Red Storm Field. Complimentary dog treats will be provided, and pets will be invited onto the field postgame for a photo opportunity.
The series concludes on March 29 with Youth Day and Sunday Run Day, as young fans can enjoy the signature lineup tunnel, autographs and base running following the game. Junior Johnnies Kids Club members are invited for special game day opportunities.
The Red Storm then hosts Creighton for a three-game BIG EAST series beginning on April 17 with Public Safety Appreciation Day. St. John's Public Safety Officers are invited as honored guests, and local schools from Queens and nearby boroughs are welcome to attend as part of Schools Day.
The following day, April 18, the program will hold the Derek "DJ" Southerland Memorial Game at 11:30 a.m., honoring the life and legacy of the longtime Red Storm supporter. Students in attendance will receive a free pair of JLAB headphones. The day will also feature Accepted Students Day, inviting future Johnnies to campus, as well as Military and First Responders Appreciation Day, with all first responders receiving a free red camo beanie.
On April 25, the Red Storm will honor its graduating student-athletes during Senior Day, holding a ceremony after the game. The afternoon will also feature Girl Scouts Day, with all Girl Scouts receiving a free patch and presenting the nation's colors during the National Anthem. The day also includes the Marketing Closet Clean Out, giving fans the opportunity to select one giveaway item from the year's remaining inventory.
The regular-season home schedule concludes on April 26 against Seton Hall, featuring the final Marketing Closet Clean Out event of the season as well as Youth Day and Sunday Run Day. Junior Johnnies Kids Club members are once again welcome to attend and participate in game day activities.
