St. John’s Places Ninth at Rutgers Invitational

The Red Storm will return to action at the BIG EAST Championships on April 25-27
PISCATAWAY, N.J.- The St. John's women's golf team placed ninth in the Rutgers Invitational on Sunday in the Garden State.
The Red Storm finished the weekend with a cumulative team score of 101-over, 953, at Rutgers University Golf Course. On Masters Sunday, the Johnnies carded a 39-over, 323, over the final 18 holes of competition.
Reigning BIG EAST Golfer of the Week Lily Huynh followed up her individual title with a 21st place finish at the Rutgers Invitational. The sophomore registered a 22-over, 235, over 54 holes and a 10-over, 81, during Sunday's third round.
Individual competitor Laura Mizlerova tied with Huynh to take 21st overall in the 88-golfer field. The freshman also shot 22-over, 235, and logged an 8-over, 79.
Kirsten Lee checked in at tied for 27th on the leaderboard after registering a three-round mark of 23-over, 236. Kelly Wu turned in the best third round score, posting a 7-over, 78, and finished the event tied for 48th place.
After concluding its regular season schedule, St. John's will return to action for the 2026 BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship presented by JEEP. The Red Storm will compete at Callawassie Island Golf Club in Okatie, S.C. from April 25-27.
