Victoria Papadopoulou Selected to All-BIG EAST First Team; Noemi Babikova Earns Second Team Honor

The duo combined for 23 wins across all dual match play this spring
NEW YORK – Victoria Papadopoulou and Noemi Babikova of the St. John's women's tennis team have been named to the All-BIG EAST postseason teams, the conference announced Thursday.
Papadopoulou garnered First Team All-BIG EAST honors, while Babikova earned a spot on the Second Team following standout performances during the 2026 campaign.
The senior impressed in her third season in Queens, compiling a 16-2 singles record. She posted a 5-3 mark in BIG EAST play, all coming at the No. 1 position. The Lalysos, Greece native earns her second career All-BIG EAST selection after being named to the Second Team in 2025. During the BIG EAST Tournament, she went 3-1 in singles play, helping guide the Red Storm to its 11th consecutive conference semifinal appearance.
Babikova also delivered a strong third season for the Johnnies, totaling 15 victories. She posted a 6-7 overall singles record but excelled in conference play, going 5-1 at the No. 2 position. In postseason action, Babikova was dominant, recording a perfect 4-0 mark across all competitions.
The duo also proved to be a dominant pairing in doubles play. Papadopoulou and Babikova combined for an 8-2 record, including a 5-1 mark at the No. 2 position. The pair went 3-2 in BIG EAST play, playing a key role in the team's overall success.
St. John's finished the 2026 season with a 16-6 overall record and a 5-1 mark in BIG EAST play, advancing to its 11th consecutive conference semifinal under Head Coach Lauren Leo. The Red Storm has now had at least one All-BIG EAST selection in every season since 2012.
