Six Women’s Golfers Named WGCA All-American Scholars

The Johnnies have had five or more players recognized for seven straight seasons
QUEENS, N.Y. – Six St. John's women's golfers were tabbed to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars, the organization announced on Monday.
Lily Huynh, Kirsten Lee, Laura Mizlerova, Pihla Pennanen, Charlotte Roodenburg and Kelly Wu were all named WGCA All-American Scholars. The honor marked the seventh year in the year the Johnnies have five or more student-athletes selected for the academic and athletic achievement.
In order to qualify for the honor, women's golf student-athletes must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher and competed in 50 percent or more of the team's competitions during the 2025-26 season. The Red Storm women's golf program maintained its longstanding tradition of highly performing in the classroom earning a 3.88 team GPA during the 2025-26 academic year.
The Red Storm have had five or more WGCA All-American Scholars each year since 2020, including its entire roster two years ago in 2024. Wu, an All-BIG EAST Team selection earns the accolade for the fourth time during her decorated career in Queens.
The women's golf program is coming off a runner-up finish at the BIG EAST Championships, the program's best since it won the conference title in 2005. In the second round, St. John's smashed the single-round team scoring record with a 1-under, 287, at Callawassie Island Golf Club.
