Rayven Peeples Signs with AO Sporting B.C. in Greece

Peeples returns to Greece ahead of 2026-27 season
QUEENS, N.Y. – Former St. John's women's basketball forward Rayven Peeples has signed a professional contract with AO Sporting B.C. in Patisia, Greece.
The 2023 graduate will continue her professional career overseas and return to Greece after competing in both France and Greece during the 2025-26 season.
The Detroit, Mich., native began her professional career with the Leicester Riders in England, where she made an immediate impact during the 2023-24 campaign.
Peeples earned Women's British Basketball League All-Defensive Team honors after averaging 12.9 points on 63.2 percent shooting and 11.0 rebounds in 28.1 minutes per game.
Following her successful rookie season, Peeples continued her career with SBŠ Ostrava in the Czech Republic before splitting the 2025-26 campaign between Bihorel in France's LF2 league and Panserraikos in Greece's A1 league. The former Johnnie will remain in Greece for the 2026-27 season after signing with AO Sporting B.C. of the A2 league.
Peeples starred for the Red Storm from 2020-23, finishing her collegiate career as the program's all-time career leader in field goal percentage at 59.6 percent. The Detroit, Mich., native played an integral role in helping the Johnnies return to the NCAA Tournament in 2023.
An efficient presence in the paint, Peeples holds three of the top four single-season field goal percentage marks in program history. During her first season in Queens in 2020-21, she shot 61.7 percent from the field, the second-highest mark in St. John's women's basketball history.
During her final season in 2022-23 she helped guide the Red Storm to its best start in program history and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Peeples ranked sixth in the BIG EAST with 8.7 rebounds per game and pulled down 278 total boards, the sixth-most in a single season in program history. She recorded double-digit rebounds in 12 contests, including matching a career-high with 17 boards against Temple on Nov. 17, 2022.
Peeples also established herself as one of the conference's top interior defenders, ranking sixth in the BIG EAST with 1.2 blocks per game while starting all 32 contests during her final season.
Prior to arriving at St. John's, Peeples spent one season apiece at Northwest Florida State and North Carolina A&T.
Under Head Coach Joe Tartamella, 18 former players have signed professional contracts all over the world, including four who were drafted into the WNBA.
