The Red Storm will compete in four events during the fall slate
QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's women's tennis head coach Lauren Leo has announced the Red Storm's four-event fall schedule, which will begin on Sept. 25 and run through early November.
The Johnnies enter the fall campaign after posting a 16-6 overall record and a 5-1 mark in BIG EAST play last season. St. John's earned the No. 3 seed at the BIG EAST Tennis Championships and advanced to the conference semifinals for the 11th consecutive season after defeating sixth-seeded Villanova, 4-1, in the quarterfinal round.
St. John's will return four players from last year's squad in Noemi Babikova, Abi Redman, Nao Kojima and Nicoline Sartz-Lunde. Babikova headlines the group of returners after earning All-BIG EAST Second Team honors last season.
The Red Storm will also welcome four newcomers to Queens, including freshman Elena Milutinovic and three transfers. Younsoo Cho arrives at St. John's from Hillsborough Community College as a two-time NJCAA National Champion, while Zora Koenig joins the program following a stint at Middle Tennessee State and Louise Rey comes to Queens from North Georgia.
The Johnnies will open their fall slate at the 16th Annual Navy Blue and Gold Invitational in Annapolis, Md., from Sept. 25-27.
St. John's will remain in New York for its second event of the fall, making the short trip to the Bronx for the Fordham Four Invitational from Oct. 2-4. The Red Storm also competed at Fordham last fall as part of its four-event schedule.
Following a week away from competition, the Johnnies will head to Princeton, N.J., for the ITA Northeast Regionals. The six-day event will run from Oct. 15-20. Last season, the Johnnies won six matches during the event with two doubles teams making as far as the round of 32.
St. John's will wrap up its fall schedule at the Buffalo Indoor Invitational from Nov. 6-8 in Buffalo, N.Y. The Johnnies will return to the event after also closing out their 2025 fall slate in Western New York.
The St. John's 2027 spring dual-match schedule will be announced at a later date.
