As a junior in 2014-15: Earned First Team All-BIG EAST honors after recording a 74.83 stroke average during nine events…registered eight top-10 finishes, including a pair of first and second place results...shot a career-best round of 68 (-4) to match a program record in the second round of the William & Mary Invitational, resulting in a second place finish…tied for second after forcing a playoff with a tie for first at the St. John’s Women’s Invitational…captured first career-individual title at the Lady Hoya Invitational (March 29-30)…tied for seventh at the BIG EAST Championship…named the BIG EAST Golfer of the Week (April 8) after a fifth place showing at the Seton Pirate Invite.
As a sophomore in 2013-14: Competed in eight events for a 77.15 stroke average that included a 78.29 average in the fall and 76.54 mark in the spring…finished second after forcing a playoff with a tie for first at the Pirate Invitational (April 5-6) with a 148 (+4)…tied for second at the BIG EAST Championship (April 17-19) with a 77-79-73—229 (+13)…named the BIG EAST Golfer of the Week (March 13/April 8).
At Arizona: Participated in eight events for the Wildcats with a final stroke average of 76.50 … best finish was a tie for 17th at the SDSU Farms Invitational (April 2) where she carded an 80-75-72—227 … shot season-best 71 in back-to-back events.
Before Arizona: Attended Hamilton High School from 2008-11 and Northview Secondary School from 2011-12 … ranked in the top-10 for the class of 2012 by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) … won three AJGA tournaments … took second place at the 2011 CPGA Women’s Championship … qualified for the 2011 Canadian Women’s Open … qualified for the USGA Women’s Public Links Championship in 2009-10, USGA Junior Girl’s Championship in 2010, and USGA Women’s Amateur Championship in 2010 … ranked in Top 10 for 2012 class by the AJGA.
Personal: Full name is Younjin “Anna” Kim … Born in Seongnam, South Korea … grew up in Toronto, Canada … daughter of Jongsung and Sangsuk Kim … has two siblings Alexa Kim (Northern Arizona University) and former St. John’s women’s golfer Sebin Kim.
