Mackenzie Shanklin joined the women's basketball staff as a graduate assistant in July of 2022.
Her main role on the Red Storm staff will be helping the Johnnies with content creation for the women's basketball program.
In May, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University. The recent graduate completed her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with minors in photography and media production and analysis.
While in Columbus, Ohio, Shanklin served as the photo editor for The Lantern from 2020-22. She received first place in photojournalism in the 2022 Ohio Collegiate Newspaper and Website Competition.
Shanklin also interned with Sports and Society Initiative from 2021-22 where she managed social media platforms and wrote press releases for the association.
