As a Sophomore (2016): NSCAA All-Northeast Region First Team … All-BIG EAST First Team … Preseason All-BIG EAST Team … Named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 26 … Earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Aug. 29 … Played and started all 20 games … Logged 90 or more minutes in 18 games on the season … Anchored the Red Storm backline that tied the program record for shutouts (12) and ranked 13th in the nation in goals against average (0.565) … Chipped in three goals on the year, all of which were game-winners … Those three game-winning goals ranked fifth in the BIG EAST and tied for the team lead … Also added an assist to finish with seven total points … Scored her first goal of the season in a 3-0 win over Albany (Aug. 21) … Converted on a penalty kick to give the Johnnies a 1-0 victory over Seton Hall in the team's BIG EAST opener (Sept. 24) … Scored the lone goal in the Red Storm's 1-0 win over Villanova (Oct. 23).
As a Freshman (2015): Had a spectacular first campaign for the Red Storm that saw her grab a spot on the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team… Played in all 20 games, making 19 starts… Logged 90 or more minutes in 15 games on the season… Played an integral role on the Red Storm backline that set program records for wins (15) and shutouts (12), while ranking 20th in the NCAA in goals against average (0.64) and claiming the program's first-ever BIG EAST Regular Season Championship… Registered two assists on the year, the first coming against Richmond (Sept. 13) and the second at Villanova (Oct. 25)… Recorded four shots on the year, two of which were on goal.
Before St. John's: Has already had a stellar amateur career that has seen her star on the club and international stages... A member of the Icelandic National Team, serving an integral role on a squad that played the United States Women's Senior National Team to a 0-0 draw in Portugal during the Algarve Cup in the Spring of 2015... In addition to her international success, Baldursdottir also played for the Icleandic club Stjarnan in the UEFA Champions League.Off the Pitch: Majoring in biology
